BBC Radio, thanks to ex Proctor & Gamble, ex Unilever, ex Pepsi marketing guru Tim Davie, is obsessed with age and demographics.

Just listening to Caroline Thomson, Mark Thompson and Tim Davie's statistical based analysis on the BBC is cringe making for anyone who loves culture. Just bugger off to the commercial sector the lot of you and stop tinkering with things which, culturally, you never can and never will understand.

Philistines.

This is exactly the problem with the BBC these days. Even when the national press kicked up a fuss about how disgustingly overpaid some of the 'talent' is on both radio and television, it seems as though the BBC has gone in an opposite direction to what it should have. Instead of axing the moronic, almost shock jock types such as Mr. Moyles, they are taking away a slice of culture (many people may never get to hear the Peel sessions again).

I am profoundly against the closure of 6 Music.
